The CocoonCap is manufactured from Polypropylene (PP5) and is BPA free. The ecococoon bottle is non leak and the design in the cocooncap ensures this.  1. Fill the bottle ONLY to the shoulder, that is, the base of the neck of the bottle. This ensures enough air flow for the water to escape.  2. When the bottle is full (shoulder full), you may need to loosen the cap ever so slightly to enable air to allow water flow. This is the same principle of a baby bottle, loosen the cap and liquid flow is improved.
